ADHD Bodies are not typical either (part 2: link)
key differences in ADHD bodies:
-sprained ankles: in childhood especially
- random bruises: from lack of memory banging into things and lack of awareness of edges of body and spatial awareness
- digestive systems: bad gut health, stomach get upset easily, food sensitivities, or gass bloating
- skin conditions: cystic acne, eczema, rosacea, seborate dermatitis, psoriasis, (especially at puberty worse than usual acne)
Overstretching is a concern for adhd people as we have a lot if energy in our body and it can show as vigorous intense stretching,- this can overtax our already loose ligaments and joints
part of the reason why we feel the need to stretch is because our muscles are tight but the problem is our joints aren’t tight so muscles tighten in response to stretching the joints more.
Anti-anxiety/anti-trauma spell bottle
I made a thingie! For those of you looking for a witchy boost to help with your anxiety, here’s a little spell jar I made. Perhaps also useful for those of you shaken or traumatized by the events of Orlando. I use this for my anxiety issues stemming from PTSD, and it works quite well for that.
I made two sizes: small, for purse/coat days, and friggin’ tiny for no purse/no pockets days. I have a necklace I can affix the friggin’ tiny jar to to wear as jewelry.
From the bottom of the bottle to the top (yes, there’s a logic to the ordering):
- Black tea (strength, fortitude)
- *Amethyst tumble stones (healing the mind, peace)
- Rosemary (cleansing, restoring focus and memory)
- Coffee (power booster, dispels negative thought, grounding)
- Valerian (harmony)
- *Rose quartz tumble stones (peace, self-love)
- Catnip (cheerfulness, love)
- Bay leaf (petitioning/wishing)
*I have a crap-ton of teenie tiny tumble stones from a present I got ages ago, so I used them, but you don’t need to use crystals for this. Substitution suggestion: chamomile for amethyst, and rose for rose quartz.
I envisioned this as myself collapsed under the weight of my anxiety, slowly rising and walking on into clear mindedness. The ingredients at the bottom of the jar help with mental regeneration, clearing the mind, healing (i.e. getting up) and as it moves towards the top, it reaches a resolution of sorts – peace, happiness (i.e. walking on into clear mindedness). As you add each ingredient, focus on what it means, what it will bring you.
On the bay leaf (well, piece of a bay leaf, more accurately), I wrote, simply, “I am not anxious,” and placed it inside the bottle. You could also use a sigil, simply chant, or whatever you please.
Seal the bottle with candle wax as shown here. Thanks to @witchy-woman for her tutorial on wax sealing (and check out the many awesome spell jar recipes she also has).
I left it in moonlight overnight, and it felt quite good by the morning.
Take care of yourselves, everyone.
Anti-Anxiety Jar Spell
I modified this spell to fit my mom’s needs. This spell is meant to calm you while also boost energy you would have otherwise spent on your anxiety. You must remain calm while creating and corking this spell or else it may not have the desired affect.
You will need:
- Himalayan Salt
- Sage, Coffee Grounds & Basil mix
- Dried Corn Husks
- Dried or Fresh Lavender Flower Buds
- White Candle
- TINY Jar
- Blessed/Cleansed/Charged Bowl
- Funnel, easily made out of paper
Directions:
- Light the white candle. Close your eyes and visualize your calmest state of being.
- Mix the Sage, Coffee Grounds & Basil with the Lavender Flowers. Funnel into the jar until it is 1/3 full.
- Place the pieces of Dried Corn Husk in the jar. Make sure it won’t cause the Salt to clog when funneling it in, as it will make a huge mess.
- Charge the Himalayan Salt with good, calm energy. Funnel the Salt into the jar. Leave room for the cork.
- Center yourself and Cork the Jar when you feel nice and calm.

A Bookmark Near the End
He loves history. He wanted to write a biography of John Quincy Adams. I, shamefully, knew almost nothing about John Quincy Adams, so I went online and bought every biography of him I could find. One day, he called me, claiming that we wouldn’t work out long term. He said he loved me but that we had different interests. “What does love mean to you?” I said. “That’s an impossible question,” he replied. I, however, find love to be quite simple. Love is the stack of biographies on my nightstand with a bookmark near the end. — Julia Nicole Camp
how am I supposed to stay sane after reading this smh
Do y’all think siblings in medieval times would look at the little beasts in illuminated manuscripts and point at each other like ‘ha! ‘Tis thou!’
haha hey i love the blood dripping from your face and the animal rage in your eyes whats your pronouns
I think Joan of Arc’s fursona would be a dog called Joan of Bark, but my partner thinks it would be a phoenix, which seems insensitive to me, but neither of us are furries, so I guess we don’t really get a say either way.
I promise I’m not trying to be pretentious here.
Jeanne d’Arc’s last name is d’Arc. An overly-literal translator insisted it stood for “of Arc”, and that’s why we know her as Joan of Arc. At the time, she was more commonly known as “Jeanne la Pucelle”, meaning “Joan the Maiden” or “Joan the Virgin”.anyways since her main attack strategy was “hit them until they stop moving” I think she’d be a gorilla.
